This Refund and Returns Policy applies to purchases made directly from Cannon-Lear Publishing through books.cannonco.net. Purchases made through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Draft2Digital retailers, or other third-party sellers are governed by the return and refund policies of the retailer through which the purchase was made.
Digital Products
Sales of downloadable products, including PDF and EPUB editions, are generally final once download access has been provided. Because digital products cannot be physically returned, we do not provide refunds for change of mind, accidental purchase after successful delivery, or incompatibility with a customer’s preferred reading application or device when the file itself is functional.
We will review refund or replacement requests involving duplicate charges, an incorrect file supplied by us, a materially defective or corrupted file that cannot be resolved through replacement, or another circumstance in which a refund is required by applicable law. Please contact us promptly at cannonco@cannonco.net with your order number and a description of the problem.
Physical Books
Physical books sold directly by Cannon-Lear Publishing may be produced on demand. Except where required by law, print-on-demand books are not returnable or refundable solely because a customer changes their mind, no longer wants the item, or ordered the wrong format.
If a physical book arrives damaged, materially defective, misprinted, or is not the item ordered, contact cannonco@cannonco.net within 14 calendar days after delivery. Please include the order number and, when reasonably requested, photographs showing the damage, defect, or incorrect item. We may provide a replacement, refund, or other appropriate remedy after reviewing the claim.
Return Authorization
Do not return a product without first contacting us. We will provide return instructions when a return is necessary. Our mailing address is not automatically a product-return location, and merchandise sent without authorization may not be accepted or processed.
Order Cancellations
We will make reasonable efforts to cancel an order if the request is received before fulfillment or production has begun. Once a digital product has been delivered or a print-on-demand order has entered production, cancellation may no longer be possible.
Shipping Charges
Original shipping charges and return-shipping costs are generally non-refundable unless the return results from our error, a defective product, or another circumstance in which applicable law requires reimbursement.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method when reasonably possible. Processing time after a refund is initiated depends on the payment provider and financial institution. Cannon-Lear Publishing does not control a bank or payment provider’s posting time.
Bulk, Institutional, and Special Orders
Bulk, university, library, bookstore, organizational, customized, or specially quoted orders may be subject to separate written terms. If a written quote, purchase order acceptance, invoice, or agreement contains refund or cancellation terms that differ from this Policy, the terms specific to that transaction control.
