This Digital Products and Download License applies to PDF, EPUB, and other downloadable publications purchased directly from Cannon-Lear Publishing through books.cannonco.net.
License Grant
When you purchase a digital product, Cannon-Lear Publishing grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the purchased file for your own lawful personal or internal use, subject to these terms and applicable law. The purchase is a license to use the digital content, not a transfer of copyright or other intellectual-property ownership.
Permitted Use
You may download the purchased file to devices you own or control and may make reasonable backup copies for your own use. You may quote limited portions of the work when permitted by copyright law, academic practice, or other applicable law, with appropriate attribution where required.
Prohibited Use
Except with prior written permission from Cannon-Lear Publishing or as expressly permitted by law, you may not:
- resell, redistribute, sublicense, lend, rent, share, transmit, or publicly post the digital file;
- upload the file to public or shared repositories, file-sharing systems, websites, or distribution platforms;
- remove or alter copyright, trademark, attribution, metadata, watermark, or rights-management notices;
- reproduce substantial portions of the work for commercial distribution;
- create or distribute an unauthorized competing edition or derivative publication; or
- use the full text or substantial portions of the digital product to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or populate a commercial artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system or dataset without written authorization.
Institutional, Classroom, Library, and Organizational Use
A standard individual digital purchase does not automatically authorize institution-wide, classroom-wide, library-wide, shared-drive, course-pack, learning-management-system, or multi-user distribution. Universities, libraries, government organizations, companies, instructors, and training providers seeking multi-user rights should contact cannonco@cannonco.net for institutional or bulk licensing terms.
Delivery and Access
Digital delivery is generally made through a download link, account entitlement, or other electronic delivery method after successful payment processing. Customers are responsible for maintaining compatible devices and software and for retaining reasonable backups after successful delivery.
Technical Problems
If a purchased file is materially defective, corrupted, or delivered incorrectly, contact cannonco@cannonco.net with the order number and a description of the problem. We may provide a replacement file, technical assistance, or another appropriate remedy.
Refunds
Refund eligibility for digital products is governed by the Cannon-Lear Publishing Refund and Returns Policy and applicable law.
Termination
This license terminates automatically if you materially violate these terms. Upon termination, you must cease unauthorized use and distribution. Termination does not limit any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
Ownership
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by the applicable copyright and intellectual-property owners. Cannon-Lear Publishing’s trademarks, logos, trade dress, and publishing materials may not be used in a manner that implies sponsorship or endorsement without permission.
Governing Law
This license is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, except to the extent mandatory law in another jurisdiction applies.
